As part of the Centennial plans, the Lake Forest Day Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been established with a one-time goal of raising $1 million. This endowment will ensure that Lake Forest Day continues into the foreseeable future.

Lake Forest has a rich history of private support of worthy community causes. Thanks to several major donors, thus far the Foundation has raised nearly $800,000. Additionally, we have two challenge grants totaling $100,000, and we are looking to the community to fill this gap to close out the campaign.

All major donors will be recognized on a plaque to be permanently displayed facing Market Square. Recognition will begin with a cash or stock donation of at least $5,000 by August 15, 2008.
